Getting Started
Planning
  • For eligibility, your PTA is in GOOD STANDING, your PTA is automatically registered for the Reflections program. Must obtain ACTIVE STATUS by October 31st.
  • You can choose to do your contest in-person, virtual, or both. Information on how to host a Virtual Reflections Program can be found at Leader Resources - Texas PTA - every child. one voice. (txpta.org)
  • You can customize your Reflections contest to meet the needs of your students.
  • Note that Special Artist has been renamed to Accessible Artist.

Submissions
  • 3D will not be allowed. Only 2D submissions please. However, any thickness canvas and frames are fine to submit.
  • Accessible Artists are extended to students with learning disabilities and are not to be asked for proof of disability.
  • Verify with your membership chair that each student submission has been checked for proof of PTA membership before judging. (To advance the parent or student must be a PTA member)
  • Make sure a contact email has been filled out.
  • Set your due date to allow judging before the Council Submission date to allow time to judge all your submissions.
  • Keller Council of PTAs deadline is November 22, 2024 from 10am to 2pm in the Rock Gym/Board at the KISD Admin building at 350 Keller Pkwy, Keller, TX 76248

Judging
  • Try to find judges outside of campus, blind judging is preferred.  See the Judging in Eight Easy Steps on the Texas PTA Reflections Website
  • If you have a student who puts in a submission with written literature and illustrations, judge the entry based on the category they choose.
  • Judge grade divisions separately.
  • Judge Accessible Artist separately from the other submissions.


Advancing Entries
  •  Advance entries to next round of judging by the published deadline.
  • Download and complete the Advancing Entry Spreadsheet.
  • Celebrate all the students who entered and Volunteers!
  • Advancing student to the district level, they will receive a personal invitation to the KCPTA Reflections Recognition being held on January 21, 2025.
